3 Values that Define the Corporate Culture at 1871
We recently launched wellRooted, a program that is focused on providing creative emotional self-care service for corporations. This isn’t a run-of-the-mill program, so we are getting to know some very special companies in Chicago that are willing to be at the forefront of cultural innovation. We recently interviewed one of these innovative companies, 1871, to find out what makes their culture different.
1871 is a rapidly expanding not-for-profit incubator for tech startups based in Chicago. Their own website admits that it’s a place where “Chicago’s brightest digital designers, engineers and entrepreneurs… can share ideas, make mistakes, work hard, build their business and, with a little luck, change the world.”
We had the pleasure of talking with George Vukotich, Senior Vice President of Programming at 1871 about what defines the culture at 1871. See what he has to say below.
