Rooted is a 'free-to-be-me' place where creative experiences serve as tools to discover yourself and connect with others

    A Laugh Changing Experience

I will be leading Laugh it Up! – Rooted’s brand new workshop focusing specifically on the emotions. In the same safe, judgment-free atmosphere Rooted always creates, strangers will come together for 4 hours to explore their joy, despair, anger, fear and, of course, laughter.

Because laughter is where my mind has been the last month, I thought it a particularly good talking point for this month’s blog entry, and my first video blog.  So let’s explore the topic.

    HOW’S YOUR LAUGH?

Maybe you have a tough time laughing in your day to day life. Or in front of others. If so, I completely understand. Several months ago, it was nearly impossible for me to release a genuine, free laugh, even in the presence of the truly hysterical.

My laughter was quiet, meek, and tame….

    LAUGH IT UP!

Why Laugh it Up?  About 6-months ago, I unexpectedly had a “laugh changing experience” in New York, in the midst of a clown class.  Nowadays my quiet, meek, and tame has begun to transform.  Laughter can still be a challenge, but every once in a while, I get a really good giggle going that is nothing short of transcendent.

Want to know what can be expected in the 4 hour curriculum, as well as the different laughs we all emit once we free ourselves from ego, tension, and self-judgment? Watch on…

Laughter, as I’ve experienced it, has so many benefits – including:

    • increased confidence
    • a more positive mental outlook
    • higher emotional intelligence
    • self knowledge, acceptance, compassion and love
    • physical exercise
    • greater capacity to connect and empathize with others

And that’s just the beginning! If you’re intrigued by these ideas, curious about this workshop, or if you’re just looking for a fun time, I’d love to see you this Saturday at Rooted Self Expression Center for Laugh it Up!

You can reserve your spot in this workshop HERE.

Please note their will be one 30-minute lunch break (meal not provided). Please wear something comfortable to the workshop that you can move in freely.
